The man of the house
Yoshitaka Takayanagi’s cuisine, pure, minimalist, and informed by the seasons, is a tribute to local products he loves and showcases in signature dishes where his Japanese and French influences converge.
In harmony with a unique establishment – a Michelin-starred restaurant and theatre – Yoshitaka Takayanagi puts on a show at every service.

A native of the Mount Fuji region, Chef Yoshitaka Takayanagi studied in Japan at the prestigious TSUJI Culinary School and worked throughout his career with great French chefs such as Guy Martin (Grand Vefour***), Yannick Alléno (Pavillon Ledoyen***), and Alain Ducasse (Le Meurice**).

Arriving as head Sommelier in 2020, Félix Manenti had been General Manager of La Scène Thélème since the beginning of 2022 — a logical continuation as his work and his presence are unanimously appreciated by our customers and the whole team.

Along with the dining room team, he shares his passion for hospitality and gastronomy, making Thélème a place where conviviality, warmth and humility reign. Add to that Chef Yoshi’s refined cuisine, and it makes for a truly sensory experience.

We will never tire of offering you the wonderful products we admire and that inspire Chef Yoshi: vegetables, flowers, herbs, fruit, and mushrooms from small producers with whom La Scène Thélème is proud to work to make for beautiful dishes.

For example, we love exceptional Japanese vegetables cultivated in France. Since 2021, Anna Shoji of YASAI farm 🌸 has collaborated with Chef Yoshi grow excellent Japanese vegetables… in Touraine! Driven by the desire to share the riches and delights of her country with France, Anna grows meticulously selected Japanese vegetables with the greatest care and respect for nature.
